Situated in the undeveloped Baa Atoll, 120 km north of Male, the island is a stunning paradise hideaway where luxurious seclusion meets wild natural beauty. The resort comprises 102 thatched beach bungalows and water villas. The bungalows and villas which are built on traditional Maldivian architectural principles with its 45 degree pitched thatched roofs and coral walls offer an abundance of indoor and outdoor living space. Each residential domain is in its own self-contained compound surrounded by luxuriant foliage guaranteeing total privacy. The entry level of bungalows is the Beach Bungalow which comprises a plunge pool, living and dining pavilion that opening onto a private beachfront garden, a sleeping pavilion and an extensive bathroom with an over-flowing bath and a traditional outdoor Maldivian shower. The highlight of the spacious Beach Villa is a 12 metre lap pool coupled with an adjacent sand-floor outdoor living and dining pavilion and a private loft for sea viewing.

  The Resort has six dining options including in-villa dining. Spectacularly perched over water, Al Barakat serves an exotic selection of Lebanese mezze and grills. Blu, another stunning restaurant, located on the western tip of the island overlooking the 2km lagoon, specialises in authentic Italian fare. The all-day dining restaurant, Café Landaa, comprising three thatched pavilions separated by reflecting ponds, features Asian and Western fare with a special highlight on sushi and teppanyaki for dinner. Special arrangements can also be made for romantic beach picnic or a candlelight dinner on the sandbank.
   
  There are three swimming pools at the Resort. The spectacular Olympic size 50 metre main pool on the northern shore of the island has a swim-up bar, spacious sundeck and private gazebos. A free-flow children's pool with parent observation area is located nearby. Adjacent to the main pool, is the 20m wide ‘floating' seawater pool, whilst the romantic sunset pool (available to guests aged 15 and above) is located on the western tip of the island at Blu restaurant overlooking the stunning 2km lagoon.

Beach Bungalow with Pool - (29 units, Interior: 75m², Exterior: 91m²); The entry level of accommodation is the Beach Bungalow which comprises a living and dining pavilion that opens onto a private beachfront garden and a sleeping pavilion with a lounge area and dressing room. The extensive
bathroom houses a bath, indoor shower and a traditional outdoor Maldivian shower. There is also an outdoor deck with a 5 metre plunge pool with sunbed and a gazebo.
Beach Villa with pool (30 units, Interior: 137m², Exterior: 260m²); A turquoise gate with traditional Maldivian style coral walls leads into the private compound of the spacious Beach Villa which comprises a sleeping pavilion, indoor living area, dressing area and luxuriously appointed bathroom with outdoor shower. The highlight of the Beach Villa is a 12 metre lap pool coupled with an adjacent sand-floor outdoor living and dining pavilion. A mezzanine-level private loft complete with day-bed is perfect for sea viewing. A traditional Maldivian swing, poolside day-beds and direct – yet shielded - beach access enhance the extensive outdoor living space.
Royal Beach Villa (1 unit, Interior: 310m², Exterior: 890m²); A suite of palatial proportions, the two-bedroom Royal
Beach Villa consists of a Master pavilion with indoor and outdoor bathroom, a living and dining pavilion, with kitchenette and butler’s room and a separate guest pavilion. The extensive exterior has a 20 metre lap pool extending along – yet shaded from – the beach, an open dining area over the water, beach-side Bale, private massage area and a spacious sundeck. Two additional Beach Villas can be inter-connected to the two-bedroom Royal Beach Villa to accommodate the largest of
families.
Water Villa (28 units, Interior: 74m², Exterior: 53m²); Located along the jetty, the Water Villas are positioned to offer views of the sunrise or sunset. Its interiors comprise a bedroom and adjacent lounge, dressing area and bathroom with outdoor shower. The outdoor deck has a separate dining area and lounge, sea-level shower deck and a sea-gazing loft accessible via a spiral staircase.
Water Villa with Pool (10 units, Interior: 74m², Exterior: 67m²); In addition to the above facilities, ten of the Water Villas
have a 14m² private plunge pool.
Two-bedroom Water Villa (2 units, Interior: 182m², Exterior: 200m²); Located at the end of the water bungalow jetty, the twobedroom Water Villas offer stunning views of the sunset and sunrise respectively. Each villa consists of two identical bedrooms complete with separate dressing area, bathroom and outdoor shower. A shared living and dining area overlooks the plunge pool and sundeck, which provides access to a sea gazing loft. Steps lead from the sundeck to a lower platform with sea access and feature shower.
Koimala Land and Ocean Villa (2 units, Interior: 280m², Exterior: 400m²); A villa concept that is a Maldivian first, the Koimala Land and Ocean Villa combine the dual attraction of accommodation based on both land and water. The twobedroom villa consists of land-based pavilion with private
beach access, alfresco living and dining area, library/ guest room, kitchenette and butler’s room. The beach pavilion is linked by a wooden walkway which leads past a 36m² plunge pool to the sea-based sleeping pavilion with bedroom, dressing room and ensuite bathroom with outdoor shower area. Outside is a spacious sundeck and sea-gazing gazebo, with steps leading to a lower platform with sea access and feature shower.

Villa Features Amenities
All villas are equipped with high-speed internet access, digital telephone lines, 42 inch plasma TV and DVD entertainment system. Deluxe bathroom amenities include thick, absorbent towels, make-up/ shaving mirror, hair dryer, pure cotton robes and slippers, and superior quality bath toiletries. In-room safes provide secure storage for personal valuables. Crisp 100% cotton bed sheets, air conditioning, overhead fans, and refreshments from the private bar add to the feeling of cool comfort in every bungalow.
Dining

Café Landaa; The all-day dining restaurant, Café Landaa, overlooks the swimming pool and beach and comprises three thatched pavilions separated by reflecting ponds, and a separate private dining room. For breakfast, guests can look forward to exotic fruits and juices, freshly baked pastries and a home-style buffet set-up of Asian and Continental selections. For lunch and dinner, feast on the freshest haul from the ocean cooked in various interesting styles. The Sushi and Teppanyaki counter, located in a dramatic water garden setting of the restaurant, provides an authentic Japanese dining experience. The popular theme nights marry a culinary experience with colourful entertainment.
Al Barakat; Adjacent to the main jetty and spectacularly perched over water, Al Barakat features specialities from Arabia, with an emphasis on Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine. The Bar on the ground floor overlooks the sea with magnificent views of the sunset and abundant marine life at the adjacent coral reef. It is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks. A stairway leads to two rooftop dining terraces with cosy niches decked with colourful cushions. Lebanese mezze, grills, Moroccan couscous platters and stews are served under a canopy of stars. After dessert, guests can move down to the bar to enjoy Arabic tea, Turkish coffee and Shisha pipes.
Blu; Located on the western tip of the island overlooking the 2km lagoon, Blu embraces the essence of the Maldives as the place where the ocean meets the sky. Blu consists of a bar and a dining pavilion, separated by a shallow pond. The restaurant offers a European buffet and a la carte main courses for breakfast, light Antipasti, pizza and pasta for lunch, home-made gelati at the poolside nearby and elegant Italian dining in the evening. The wine list includes a fine selection of Italian wines.
Five Degree North; The resort’s main bar, named after the island’s geographical location 5 degrees north of the Equator, is located on the first floor of the Reception building amidst coconut treet-tops, and has commanding views over the entire island. Featuring a counter fashioned from a local dhoni, the nautically inspired bar also serves Maldivian ‘Sae Bon’ afternoon tea and has a library, pool table and selection of board games.
Barbecue Giraavaru; Located adjacent to the seawater pool and the beach, Barbecue Giraavaru is open for dinner, serving fresh catch of the day as well as a wide selection of choice
meats, salads and side dishes from an open kitchen pavilion. Teak tables and chairs are set in the sand facing the sea.
In Villa Service; Breakfast, lunch, dinner or between-meal snacks are served in each villa's dining area, overlooking the lagoon. The menu is available 24 hours and can cater to any request, from a sunrise champagne breakfast to a romantic beach and sandbank candlelight dinner to a Robinson Crusoe picnic and private parties of any size.

Meetings Facilities

There are four meeting rooms in this idyllic, land-and-sea paradise for exclusive corporate retreats. Jalsaa and Maalam are located in the Recreation Centre surrounded by lush tropical plants and have high ceilings and large windows that let in gentle Maldivian breezes to exude a relaxing ambience. Haruge is located next to the coconut corridor and is perfect for meetings and private functions. Located inside Café Landaa with access to the restaurant's outdoor deck is the most intimate meeting space, Jaafai, which is ideal for private events or family gatherings. The room is air-conditioned with floor-toceiling windows which overlook the Resort's infinity pool. All the rooms are styled in traditional Maldivian design and are complemented by modern tropical interiors. The function rooms are flexible in meeting styles and can accommodate an intimate meeting for 17 to a theatre style arrangement for 170. State-of-the–art technology coupled with experienced Four Seasons support is on site to meet your most demanding presentation and communication requirements. The Resorts offers many activities to interest meeting participants. One can indulge in a wide range of spa and Ayurvedic treatments, yoga classes, cooking sessions, water sports such as diving, snorkelling, kayaking and surfing, and island hopping. LANDAA SPA & AYURVEDIC RETREAT: Situated at the heart of the island and stretching to the sea, the Landaa Spa complex comprises 10 thatched treatment pavilions. Four of the pavilions are built over water, three are set in a lush garden environment and three are located in the Ayurvedic Retreat. The Spa is a resort in itself, providing a comprehensive approach to physical, spiritual and mental wellbeing, with a special emphasis on Yoga and Ayurveda. Located within the wider Spa complex, the Ayurvedic Retreat, a first within Four Seasons, has been carefully developed in association with experts from Kerala, India. The aim is to educate and take guests on a journey through the physical, nutritional and emotional wellness benefits of ayurveda. The Resort's Resident Ayurvedic Physician is available to advise on healthier lifestyle options.
RECREATION CENTRE: The Recreation Centre comprises the following: The Health Club – It is equipped with the latest strength and cardiovascular equipment with personal TV and
headphones. There is also a floodlit tennis court. Young Adults' Club – An entertainment lounge for young adults aged 12 to 18, equipped with pool table, table-football, table-tennis, magazines and parlour games. Kuda Velaa Kids' Club - The Children's Club keeps the Resort's youngest guests entertained throughout their holiday with an action-packed programme featuring beach and outdoor activities, creative crafts and games that are fun, educational and culturally enriching. Kids' programmes include sessions with the Resort's Yogi and Marine Biologist to back-of-house tours and ice-cream making with the Chef. Children's menus are also available in all restaurants. The Library – Housed in a comfortable lounge, it is located on the first floor of the Recreation Centre and offers treetop views of the island. It features a variety of books, magazines and parlour games as well a refreshment counter. Laptops with wireless internet access are available for rent. The Resort Shop features a wide range of fashion and beachwear, accessories, jewellery, gifts, souvenirs, arts & crafts, books, magazines and other merchandise. The Dive Retail Shop is located at the dive centre and sells dive wear and equipment as well as accessories and dive souvenirs. The Spa Shop is found at the Spa reception and includes a range of lotions, oils, books, bathrobes, slippers and incense.
DIVING:
Maldives is known internationally as one of the world’s best dive destinations. A large number of excellent dive sites are located within minutes of the Resort. As the Baa
Atoll is relatively undeveloped, most dive sites are newly discovered by the Resort’s dive team. There is a host of untouched sites to explore in the area. The Resort operates its own PADI licensed Dive Centre which boasts a team of experienced, multi-lingual diving instructors who conduct courses to improve diving knowledge and skill. International certification is issued by arrangement with PADI. The Dive Centre is also fully equipped with both Nitrox and Air facilities.
WATERSPORT CENTRE: The Watersport Centre offers a wide range of group and individual activities. Non-motorized activities are complimentary and include kayaking, snorkelling,
windsurfing, single sail and catamaran sailing. Lessons in windsurfing and sailing can be given by RYA certified instructors on request. Additional motorized activities such as water-skiing, parasailing, banana-boating and fun tube are available at a charge.
MARINE RESEARCH CENTRE: The Marine Research Centre is located on the south side of the island, near the main jetty. Run by a team of marine biologists and research officers, the centre undertakes a number of environmental initiatives committed to the preservation of the vibrant marine gardens of the Maldives. Educational ‘Fishtalk’ briefings and presentations on a variety of marine topics are given each day in the research centre and guests are welcome to drop in at anytime for ad hoc discussions.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: At the Resort, you enjoy a vantage point from which to explore the sights, sounds and experiences around you. There are a variety of islands with historical and cultural significance that are within 30-minute speedboat ride from Landaa Giraavaru. Take a 30-mimute boat ride to Kendhoo Island and visit the 12th century house of Abu
Al Barakat, the scholar who converted Maldives from Buddhism to Islam. The neighbouring island of Kudarikilu which is a 15-minute boat ride away provides a glimpse into Maldivian island life. Visit the island’s village school, local shop and mosque, and discover thunda kunaa, the traditional craft of mat weaving.
